Via a simple graphic interface, the user can collect data and work with advanced statistical models. SPSS contains a number of well-documented algorithms that make it easy to reach usable business models. These algorithms include subjects within:

• Classification: Outcome prediction and forecasting based on methods such as Decision Tree, Neural Networks, Logistic Regression, Time-series, etc.
• Segmenting: Grouping of units or uncovering of unusual patterns via automatic cluster formation.

SPSS comes with an extensive reference list and has solved advanced tasks within, for instance, shopping behaviour and fraud tracing (e.g. in the insurance business).
